Jamie Marie had her first shower this Sunday! It was so much fun. My mom's friend Jacque hosted it at her house and it was wonderful! Here is Jacque and me on the front, then my grandmother, my mom and Daryl's mom in the back.
The food was excellent and we had a great turn out.
35 of my wonderful friends and family were in attendance.
Jamie received lots of very nice things. She will be one well dressed baby! She even received a wide selection in sizes which I was VERY excited about. It was almost equally split 0-3, 3-6, 6-9. And yes... they are arranged by size... Yes, I am obsessive compulsive... Yes, that will change once I have a baby, but LET ME HAVE MY LAST HOO RAH!!! :-)
Jamie did get a few too many onsies for 0-3, so I will go and switch some out for the later months once all of the showers are complete. I don't see how mom's are able to take anything back... I mean, I understand that she can't wear 75 outfits in 3 months, but I couldn't even begin to decide what to exchange because they are all SOOOOO CUTE!!!! Hopefully they will have the same designs in later months, then I won't have to decide.

Here I am doing my best Vanna White impression... my mom is simply amazed at my skill.
.
And now.... THE GIFTS!
Her Bedding
Customized toy basket and diaper bag. I LOVE THEM CAROLE!!!!
I thought it appropriate to put the diaper stacker with the Genie in the picture.... the beginning and the end....
More Goodies...And her first BLING in the top right hand corner.
And more useful things.
.
And yes, I had everything where it belonged last night... you can ask my sis-in-law. She came by to see everything and it was already put away.
.
I was amazed at how tired I was after the shower. We had a long day Saturday of getting the house together. We have Lamaze next Saturday and a shower on Sunday and the shower is right down the street so we know people will be stopping by to see the new house, so WORK WE MUST!!! I worked on my home office all day - this was nothing but a room full of boxes at 8:00 AM Saturday morning...
It was good we finished it because I used it all day today. Last night, I had the worst acid reflux yet and it got the better of me.
.
So here is some basic math for you:
Being sick all night = no sleep.
Hard weekend + no sleep = pitiful pregnant lady.
.
So I worked from home today. I did get a lot done though... more than I would have at work because I think all I would have done if I had been there is cried.
.
We had our regular doctor appointment today. Jamie is still head down and I found out the bump that keeps sticking out is her bottom. Great....I have a booty dancer in my belly. Her heartbeat is in the 140s and my blood pressure was 106/68... Daryl says it has gone down because he drove. And I think he is right. My blood pressure didn't start going up until I had to start driving myself to the doctor... So now I have medical proof of my road rage! I didn't gain a single pound since my last doctor appointment....Still 159. So here is to wearing the lightest outfit I own and then going to Stevi B's Pizza Buffet to celebrate!

It was a wonderful shower, I am so happy I could make it and we had a wonderful time with Linda & Randy and usual. Glad you like the bag.
You look great and looking forward to seeing what else you get for Jamie.
Wow, look at all that great stuff you got. Hey if you don't get a chance to return any outfits don't sweat it. She MAY actually wear all of those 75 outfits in the beginning. David used to wear 3-4 a day when he was first born (and so did I for that matter with all the pee, poop, and spit up). Heck there are still days when he wears 3 outfits in one day!
Hey girlie! I am so envious!!! I LOVE all of your stuff! Oh my gosh that diaper bag and basket are BEYOND adorable!!! I know Jamie is going to be one well stocked little chickadee. Can't wait to see you guys this weekend!!!
WOW! You got lots of good stuff at your shower. Love the bedding and diaper bag. Jamie will look so cute in everything!
you look so pretty, lori! and you racked in with the baby loot. but i'm tellin' ya, girl. once that baby comes alls you'll be wantin' are pacifiers, baby wipes and LOTS of diapers!! hehehe! the cute outfits are nice and all but i just remember joe wearing onesies and bibs and LOTS of diapers the first 8 weeks. they spew up so much stuff for awhile. anyways, what am i saying? glad you had a great time!! love all your stuff.
Maybe you'll get lucky and not get a spitty uppy kid. Lindsay wasn't bad with that at all. Definitely don't buy too much newborn. She'll probably only be in it a couple of weeks and then she'll move on to 0-3 and 3 month very quickly. It seemed like the 6-9 month size lasted longer than anything. You got lots of great stuff. I was laughing that you have it all put away already. We're so much alike. LOL! Good job on the weight and the blood pressure. You're doing great! That dress you wore was beautiful.
Can't wait to see pics from your next party!
Maybe she will take after D -- I dont' remember him ever really spitting up! :) I am praying Marleigh will be keep her food down as well!
