It's a GIRL!!!

Welcome Jamie Marie! It is so great to FINALLY know what our baby's name is! Today we took our family to the 3D Ultrasound place in Alpharetta and they discovered that the newest addition to the family will be a little girl. It was so much fun seeing what she sort of looks like. Those places are so neat. Of course, Jamie decided to be asleep the entire time and was face down in her comfy pillow (a nice way of saying placenta). We did get a few decent shots of her face. Here are a few of the better pictures. Here is her face...she is looking to the right and yawning. Coming from the top of the picture down: Forehead, eyes, little nose, yawning mouth, chin, belly.

Here are her long legs.... they were dated as being due 11/12.... the rest of her is 11/17. That's my girl! And check out those feet.... no size 6 there.... I think I'm making her mad...she is kicking me as I type. Ha-ha. Mommy loves your big feet! Here she has her hand over her head.... the way they had it makes her eye look weird.... but you get the main gist of it. We are so happy to be able to start picturing what are baby will look like and be like. We can't WAIT!

Okay, so now for the stats from the doctor's visit (This is more for me to have a record because the only thing people REALLY want to know about is boy vs girl. ha-ha)

Weight: 11 - 12 Oz.

She was moving around like CRAZY the whole time!

She likes sucking her thumb already.... oh dear! :-)

Blood Pressure: 102/68

Weight: 142 (Jamie should be bigger than 11 oz.!)

The next doctor's visit, we will have to have another ultrasound to see her knoggin because the way she was positioned in my pelvis, the Doc couldn't check out her brain, so we get to see her again next month!

Belly Evolution: Week 20

We are at the half way point!!! The baby has been kicking like crazy which is cool. This T-shirt will be rising up in the next week or so I fear. The only news to report is that tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!!! well....the first big day... the birthday will be the REAL big day, but tomorrow we find out if baby is a boy or a girl, but the family finds out Saturday so my next post (Saturday night) will be the best one. So until then, have a great weekend!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow...

So after last Thursday's pictures, I was more convinced than ever to go ahead and chop off my hair. I found a cute haircut in one of my pregnancy magazines so I decided to go for it. I figure now is the time to try out a short hair style since pregnancy is making my hair grow like crazy. I had it cut yesterday, but you know it always looks better after you fix it yourself (although I'm still learning how to fix it). Hopefully by Next Thursday's Belly Pics, I'll have my hair styling down.

Okay, on to some "kickin" updates. Baby started kicking HARD yesterday! It was awesome! Since I was working a trade show last Thurs. & Fri., I was able to sleep in an extra 2 hours each morning. So needless to say, after 2 days in a row of getting 10+ hours of sleep, I was wide awake at 6:00 am. I guess I woke Daryl up too because he went to the bathroom. While he was in there, I had my hand on my stomach and I felt these 3 STRONG kicks. At first I thought it had to be something else, then he got in bed and I was like "you have to feel this!" He put his hand on my stomach and went "WOW!!!" It was so hard I thought the baby was trying to get out! haha. It happened again a few times today too so the baby is definitely getting stronger.

Belly Evolution: Week 19

Week 19 is finally here.... which means it is ONLY 8 more days until we find out if we are having Jamie or Evan! We can't wait! On a side note, I have no idea what my hair is doing but I refuse to retake these pictures because I hate putting that tight white t-shirt on now. ha-ha. We are feeling the baby move around more. My parents were able to feel Peanut over Father's Day weekend, so that was really cool. So now we just have to make it one more week with calling the baby peanut. :-) We bought the babies furniture this past weekend also. Baby USA was having a huge sale so we figured it the perfect tiem to get some of those big purchases out of the way. The furniture is by AP Industries and is the Sorrento line: Here is a link to the collection. We also purchased the stroller, car seat, and pack-n-play (well, our parents did through us) in the Graco Milan pattern.

Belly Evolution: Week 18

This week has been pretty uneventful. Just getting bigger. My right hip has been hurting me pretty bad, but I guess that's just a part of being pregnant. I've decided that maternity tops that don't come all the way down to your knees are almost impossible to find. I only have a hand full of clothes that I can wear now so it's about time to go shopping.

Okay, had to come back and add more. at 9:00 tonight, Daryl was "laying down some crazy beats" doing the MacGyver theme song beat box style (Daryl says to add "the best TV show in history") and I started feeling the baby move around like crazy for the first time. I thought I felt it on my hand but wasn't sure so I asked Daryl if he could feel it and he could!!! We tested it and he told me every time he thought he felt the baby and it was every time I did! It isn't a HUGE movement, but you can feel it none the less. How cool is that?!?!?!

Belly Evolution: Week 17

Week 17 is finally here! I'm REALLY starting to feel pregnant now. It's becoming difficult to bend all the way over to grab something under my desk when I'm sitting in my chair at work. Plus, this white t-shirt is getting WAAAAY tight!

Good news! The results all came back negative from the triple marker test so that's good! Also, I'm not completely sure, but I think I felt the baby on Monday. Amanda let me borrow her fetal heart monitor and Daryl was trying to listen for the baby's heart beat (still can't hear it using that thing) BUT when he was pressing down on the lower part of my tummy, I SWEAR I felt something rub up against where he was pushing down. Amanda said that Davis hated it when she used it to hear him and kept kicking and carrying on when she used it so maybe Peanut feels the same! I'm more inclined to think I did feel the baby because I got weepy for a split second which makes me think I subconsciously knew it was the baby, even if "I" didn't.

Daryl bought me the best surprise Monday...a SNOOGLE (click on the word and check it out)! He bought me one of those full body pillows that makes a big "C" shape to go under my head and between my legs to keep me comfortably aligned and on my side. I honestly didn't think I would have this much trouble sleeping on my side. I keep waking up in the night on my back on TOP of the snoogle with it still between my legs. This is going to take a while to master.
