Merry Christmas!

YAY for Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We started celebrating by going to my grandparents' house Christmas Eve for lunch. Here is this years' Four Generations picture. Jamie has entered a stage of non-camera-smiling, but still a good picture.
Loving on her new teddy bear. In her Santa hat.
Having a good time with Great-Grandmomma
Paw Paw's are meant to be silly.
Then we came back to our house Christmas Eve for dinner and opened presents. Daryl gave me a Wii.... can you tell I like it?
Daryl opening up some gifts, and Jamie trying to get him to talk on her new cell phone. Mickey Mouse is on the line, Dad!!! (That's the big bear she was loving on earlier)
Sitting with Nana while daddy uses his new camera lens and external flash. Our parents all spent the night at our house for Christmas Eve.
Jamie enjoying her gifts from Santa Christmas morning.
Then we hosted Christmas Day dinner so the rest of the family came on over. Here I am with my Favorite sister-in-law (even if I had another, she would still be my favorite)
Smiling with Paw Paw
SAY CHEESE. Gotta love the grandmas!
Good lovin' from Uncle David & Aunt Deeshia
It's over?!?!?!?!

A Year Ago Today....

So I updated Jamie's monthly photo on the side bar and thought "wow... she is over a year old now." and thought I would look at pictures of her from a year ago today...
12/21/07 & 12/21/08
A lot changes in a year!
  • She cracks me up because the only way I can get a picture of her now is to run to the other side of the room and try to catch as many pictures as possible as she charges for me. She MUST touch the camera!!!! I need a faster shutter speed if this keeps up.
  • In other news, Jamie can now say (sorta) Light "aigh", Patty Cake "daaa ty, daaa ty" - I know it isn't daddy by the way she sings it and she says it twice in a row... Most of her words are variations on Daddy, so it makes it VERY hard to understand her.
  • When we yawn, she opens her mouth big and laughs, and then will do it back to us to make us open out mouths.
  • She has perfected the word "shoe" now and says it the whole time we are in a shoe store or near shoes for that matter. She LOVES shoes!!!
  • She can get off the couch now by herself with perfect grace, but hasn't even tried to climb up... she just has us do it.
  • She is getting better at throwing a ball. She loves to play "catch". She throws it and then we roll it to her.

She is just growing up so fast. She is our little sweetheart!

It's snot a good thing....

So Jamie has some kind of bug that is making her nose emulate a snail. Poor baby has trouble sleeping because she can't really breathe through her nose which makes it kinda hard to keep a paci in. Luckily she can sleep without the paci, but she likes it to help her go to sleep. As such, she hasn't been the most photogenic baby lately... but I had to post a picture, especially since today she turned 13 months! So here she is looking out our side living room window. It looks out onto our neighbors back deck. Whenever they are outside, she goes to the window and bangs and waves to them (they always wave back and entertain her). So my sweet neighbors and their kids decided to do something special for Jamie for Christmas. The decorated the part outside our window so Jamie would have something to look at at night. So cute. She loves it! Thanks ya'll!!!

Merry Christmas

Here is our Christmas Card for this year. Daryl made it completely from scratch using PhotoShop and I think he did a great job! So to all my blogger buddies, Merry Christmas!

Our Village...er....City

My parents asked me to post some pictures of our Christmas village. We decided last year not to add anything else, and I think you will see why below. We LOVE our village. Daryl had to put it together by himself this year while I entertained Miss J, and I think he did a great job. We started with two houses and a few people and have grown to this in 3 years. Yep.... we are all about the village! We even talked about it when looking for our new home... "Where can we put the village?" haha.

4th Anniversary

Today is our 4th Wedding Anniversary. It is hard to believe that 4 years ago today, we loaded up the whole family and went on a 4 day cruise to get hitched. We left out of the Jacksonville, FL port. We were married before we departed because you have to be attached to land to be married... who knew? So in honor of our anniversary, here are some pics of that day and a few more from along the way. I love you Daryl! You are my best friend and I love every minute we have shared and will continue to share. We have such a great time together and you always keep things interesting. You are the best daddy and husband a girl could ever ask for. I Love You!!!!
My favorite picture With Tim &Amanda... who made it all possible. Thanks for having a New Years Eve party so Daryl & I could meet!!!
Cruise to Key West
Trip to St. Louis
We went on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon a few months after the wedding.

Breakfast with Santa

This morning we went to Breakfast with Santa at church. It was a rough morning since Jamie did not sleep well, so mommy & daddy did not sleep well. It all started off well... despite the lack of sleep... Aunt Deeshia sang a song while the Big Guy looked on... Jamie applauded her aunt's good job....
Then she had to sit in Santa's lap....
This Santa is MUCH better!
Whew.... no more of the fat man. Bring on the food! Nana bought Jamie this cute bib for the big day. So cute! (I didn't airbrush her boo-boo out of this picture... the green really adds to the holiday flair)
After breakfast with Santa, we went over to my parent's so they could see Jamie all dolled up.
The Three Amigas
Um....I believe this ornament belongs to you....
CHEESE!
