"Paci"ing Out

So I need to take some more pictures of Jamie, but in the interim, I have some stories, tricks, and Misc. about our soon to be 11 month old!

So this just happened and every time it does, I just want to bust out laughing. Jamie will wake up about an hour or so after she has gone to bed occasionally and she will be sitting up whining. I stick her paci in her mouth and she FALLS OVER - literally... she falls right over, sound asleep. It is the funniest thing ever. I have to guide her so she doesn't face plant or hit the rails.

Daryl took Jamie down to the basement play area we have set up for her for when she is older, but we have one of those Little Tykes play forts with a slide and Daryl wanted to see if she liked it. He slid her down twice, then sat her at the top and now she will scoot her little tush to the edge and then pull hard and down she goes, all by herself. so cute! I'll try to get some video soon.

Jamie is starting to stand on her own for a few seconds at a time. She does it only when she doesn't realize she isn't holding onto something. The second she realizes it's all her, she leans too far forward to get to whoever is near by and falls into their arms. She will take a few steps on her own. She mostly just uses her toys, kitchen stools, and anything that she can push, as her walker (since she doesn't have one). It looks like she is rearranging furniture.

Jamie has a sick obsession with our TV. She LOVES to push the buttons on the front, which is a no-no. We have tried pulling her away (she crawls right back) saying no firmly as she crawls towards it (she crawls even faster... really) the hand slap (she thinks it's a game and laughs at us - probably because you couldn't kill a gnat with the force we use) Sigh....

Jamie has started playing hide and seek - well, we hide, she seeks. But she LOVES it. She laughs the whole time.

All in all, she is becoming a really fun and energetic toddler.

that paci story is hysterical! YEs, this age is tons of fun! Wait another year when she's talking your ear off and singing songs from start to finish! It's amazing!
