Campin'
We went camping this weekend to Watson Mill Bridge is Comer GA. We had a really great time even though it was FREEZING cold the night we stayed. It was Jamie's first camping trip and she did great. She loved sleeping in a tent and playing in the great outdoors.

Fun filled 2010
I had to go to Boston for a business trip. Never been before, so that was pretty cool.
- She is becoming a climber now - I'm thankful that was a skill she waited to learn.
- She can open ALL the door knobs, but didn't try to leave... until today... we will be buying knob covers tomorrow.
- She can read a few words (the ones that are repeated over and over in her books)
- She is getting much better at counting
- She is doing GREAT with coloring. She works so hard to stay in the lines and becomes so serious when she is coloring - totally ignores us.
- She has been in her big girl bed since January and has only been back to our bed twice - once when we had a guest and needed her bed, and once for some reason that I can't remember - but YAY - she is sleeping thru the night and out of our bed (although I must admit we miss her sometimes.) :-)
- She has been sleeping without her paci for the past week. I just didn't give it to her one night and she hasn't asked for it since. Go figure she is being so easy with this whole sleep thing!
- She is still progressing with the potty training. We need to make her stay in big girl undies more. When we put her in pull-ups, she doesn't always tell us when she needs to go. But #2 - she ALWAYS tells us - Hallelujah for that.
- She is in the phase now where I can kiss a boo boo and it is instantly better - I like that. :-)
- She loves to make up songs and dance. She thinks it is fun to exercise with us and she is so cute trying to do the work out moves with us.
- She is just a complete joy - when she isn't having a melt down - which luckily are few and mostly happen because she has skipped a nap that day - which she skips about every few days now.

A verbal update
So blogger won't let me upload pictures (which is why I've been delayed in the first place) so I will take this opportunity to give an update on Jamie beyond pictures.
- She had her two year check up and is 29 lbs 31 in (but when I measured her at home, she was closer to 33 - she did NOT like them measuring her).
- She LOVES to sing, dance, color, and play with her baby dolls and Wonder Pets toys.
- She knows most of the alphabet and is starting to understand that numbers equate amounts and will try to count things.
- She can draw faces - eyes, nose, mouth, then a ring around it all for the head, then ears, hair and the occasional hat.
- She loves playing with her Geo Trax train my dad bought her for Christmas and the food set Santa brought her. You "cut" the wooden food that is pre sliced and held together with Velcro.
- She is in the "What's that?" phase and asks it about everything and pretty much remembers what we tell her and will bring it up later when quizzed.
- If she could be anywhere, it would be outside. And now that she has her own roller skates and has experienced the speed of it all with Daryl wearing his roller blades and scooting her along, she is HOOKED.
- She loves everyone to sing when she sings and will point to you until you do.
- The phrases I hear the most are: "Don't worry mommy, I help you." "I do it!" "Try again" "That's Silly/Funny/Fun!" "Oh my goodness." "I watch Cartoon?" "Mommy, we go playroom play Wonder Pets?"
- Potty training is going VERY well. She will tell me every time for #2 and will tell me #1 when we are away from home (mostly because she likes checking out the sinks at different places). At home, it is more us just putting her on the potty regularly, but she will tell us about twice a day when she needs to go while at home.
- She loves animals and is obsessed with the Wonder Pets.... like, I think she needs a support group. :-)
- She is very polite and says please, thank you, no thanks & your welcome pretty much all the time.
- She is very sweet and gives great hugs and kisses and likes to fall asleep rubbing my arm.
- When she wakes up from her naps, she likes to snuggle, which I LOVE and just eat that time up. She will rub my face and say "I wuv you mommy." and give me a big smooch and make the "MMmmmmMwah!" sound.

Catching up & Trip to Chattanooga
So considering I haven't posted in forever, this will be a long post. Let's see first, OCTOBER! Wow, it went by so fast! We had my mom (Memaw) and grandmother (Noni)'s birthdays.
Then we were ready for Halloween. Here is Jamie picking out the perfect pumpkin.
And in her pirate costume
And potty training has been going VERY well! She tells us when she has to go #2, but not #1. If we sit her on the potty, she will go, so the accidents have been minimal because we keep putting her on the potty plus she stays dry thru the night, thru naps & when we go out, so that is nice. She started to telling us yesterday when she goes AFTER the fact, but at least she is starting to get the idea. And I have no idea why she felt the need to wear Daryl's hat and hold a balloon while she went.... kids.
Me and Jamie.
Jamie playing dress up.
And now, our trip to Chattanooga. We had a blast. Here is Jamie and the Children's Museum going down the slide with Camera Man Daddy.

All but the ABC's
Jamie has learned a few letters, here are some of them (she hasn't figured out A, B or C yet, hence the title).

So I'm a Slacker!
So I have SOOO much to catch up on! Jamie is growing like a weed! She uses 4+ word sentences, can recognize about a third of the alphabet when you write a letter on her magna doodle. She can read the word Dog, Cat & Jamie, can count to 15. She weighs about 27 lb and is about 33 inches tall (from what I can do from home). She is starting to drop her naps, which is NO fun. haha. Potty training is going pretty well but sleeping in her crib is NOT going well. Sigh. Her favorite phrases are "I'll do it" or "I've got it" - Miss Independent. She is beginning to climb now - we have been so lucky that she didn't care about it until this point. She has to dance every night before bed. She turns on Daryl's radio and shakes her grove thang. so funny. I'm sure there is a ton more.... Oh well, here are some pics since my last post forever ago!
